How to use the Cat Generator
- Press Generate to meet a brand-new pixel cat. Every click mixes fur colour, pattern, eyes, ears, expression, outfit and background, and picks a name to suit.
- Open Customise your cat to choose every detail yourself, from tabby stripes and odd eyes to a crown, a Christmas jumper or a skateboard. You can also pick a name style, such as posh, funny or spooky.
- Press Surprise me for a fully dressed cat with a wild name, or New name to keep the look and change the name.
- Press Download PNG to save your cat as a crisp pixel picture, or Copy share link to send the exact same cat to a friend.
- Happy with it? Press Spray it on the wall, sign your name and leave your mark, press Choose my spot and pick where it goes on the Catpool Wall.

Leave your mark on the Catpool Wall
The Catpool Wall is a big brick wall covered in visitors’ cats, each one sprayed on like a graffiti sticker and signed with a name and the date. It’s a little “I was here” from everyone who stops by. Drag your cat wherever you like, press Spray here and watch it appear.
Once a cat is sprayed it stays exactly where you put it. Nobody can move or edit it, including you, but you can always make another cat and spray that too.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Cat Generator free?
Yes, completely free with no sign-up. Make as many cats as you like.
What gets saved when I spray a cat?
Only a tiny recipe that describes your cat, the name you sign it with, where you placed it and the date. No pictures are uploaded and no account is needed. Cats you make but don’t spray are never saved anywhere.
Can I sign with my real name?
Yes. Sign your tag with your name or a nickname, up to 20 characters, or leave it blank to sign as Mystery Moggy.
Can I move or delete my cat after spraying it?
No. Cats cannot be moved or edited after sprayed, just like real graffiti. If you spot something on the wall that shouldn’t be there, let us know and we’ll take it down.
How many cats can I spray?
One a minute and up to ten a day, so everyone gets a turn.
Can I use the pictures?
Yes, download them for personal use, such as profile pictures, cards and messages. Each download carries a small catpool.co.uk mark.
