How to play Cat Flap
- Start a run. Press Play, tap the board or press Space. The cat starts gliding straight away, so be ready.
- Flap to stay up. Every tap, click or press of Space (or the ↑ arrow) gives the cat a little lift. Gravity does the rest.
- Fly through the gaps. Steer between the red posts. Each pair you clear scores one point.
- Don’t touch anything. Bumping a post or the ground ends the run. Your best score is kept on this device.
Cat Flap starts gently: the gaps are wide and the posts move slowly. They get a little faster and a little narrower with every point until you reach 40, then the pace stays put.

Tips for a higher score
- Tap little and often. Short, steady taps keep the cat level. Big bursts send it into the top post.
- Aim for the middle. Line up with the centre of the next gap early instead of correcting at the last moment.
- Find a rhythm. The posts are evenly spaced, so a steady beat works better than reacting to each one.
- Pause when you need to. Press P, Esc or the pause button. The game also pauses by itself if you switch tabs.

Yes. The board scales to fit your screen and you just tap anywhere on it to flap. The page won’t scroll or zoom while you play.
Is there sound?
Simple retro sound effects are available but start switched off. Tap the speaker button to turn them on; your choice is remembered.
