About these security tools
In an age when nearly every transaction, identity, and decision travels across the internet and is increasingly shaped by AI systems that can impersonate voices, generate convincing fraud, and exploit weak links at machine speed, security is no longer a technical afterthought but the condition that keeps personal privacy, institutional trust, and democratic life intact.
QR codes can pop up anywhere, links are received in a text or email, a card that says your parcel is delayed, a photo you’re about to post, or a password you’ve used for years. QR X-Ray and Link X-Ray show where a code or link really goes without opening it, the Barcode Scanner reads the number on a product and can look it up, and Text X-Ray highlights the warning signs in a message.
Photo X-Ray shows the GPS location, phone model and date hidden in a photo and gives you a clean copy. Has My Password Been Leaked? checks a password against known data breaches without the password leaving your device, and the Password Generator makes a strong replacement.
Before you open an attachment, File X-Ray checks what it really is and flags disguised programs, macros and risky PDFs. Before you send a document, Document X-Ray shows the names, comments and tracked changes hidden inside it and makes a clean copy. And when an unknown number calls or texts, Number X-Ray tells you whether ringing back could cost you. All three run in your browser, and nothing is uploaded.
These checks look for common warning signs. They can’t promise that a link or message is safe, so if it involves money or a login, contact the company through its official app or website instead. For other jobs, try Developer, Create or Calculators, or take a break with Games.
