Random Number Generator
Pick a range and generate one number or a list. Uses your browser’s cryptographic random generator. Nothing is stored.
This session
How to use the Random Number Generator
- Set Minimum and Maximum. They start at 1 and 100.
- Optional: set How many if you want a list rather than one number.
- Optional: tick Unique numbers so a batch has no repeats.
- Click Generate number, or tap a preset (1–6, 1–10, 1–100, 0–1, 1–1000).
- Read the result. Copy takes the current draw. This session keeps a short list underneath; it disappears when you leave the page.

What it is for
Sometimes you need a number you did not pick yourself: a raffle ticket, a team order, a classroom example, a test value, or a way to break a tie. This page returns whole numbers from the range you set.
Each generate is a fresh draw. A batch of up to 100 numbers can land in one go. Unique mode will not repeat a value inside that batch, and it will stop you if you ask for more unique numbers than the range allows.
It does not shuffle names. For a random string rather than a number, use the Password Generator. For sample layout text, see the Lorem Ipsum builder.
Why it runs in your browser
The draw uses the browser’s cryptographic random generator, not a simple roll you could predict from the last result. Nothing is sent to Catpool and you do not sign in. That keeps a classroom raffle or a private pick as local as rolling a die on the desk.
Common questions
Is the range inclusive?
Yes. If you set 1 and 6, both 1 and 6 can appear, along with the integers in between.
Can I generate decimals?
No. This page returns whole numbers only. If you need a decimal, generate an integer and scale it, or use a spreadsheet.
What if the minimum is larger than the maximum?
The page will say so and will not draw. Put the lower bound in Minimum and the upper bound in Maximum.
Does unique mode apply across clicks?
No. It only applies inside the current batch. Generate again and numbers from the last draw can appear.
Is this suitable for a legal lottery or cryptography?
No. It is a browser draw for everyday choices and informal games. Formal lotteries, gambling and security-sensitive work need purpose-built processes, not a page like this.
Does it keep a history of draws?
Only in this tab, for this visit: the last few results sit under the number. Close or refresh the page and that list is gone. Copy anything you need to keep.
