About Catpool

Catpool is a collection of browser tools that provide solutions for everyday problems such as security checks, developer jobs, images, codes and text, calculations and games for short breaks. The site is built around one simple idea: open a page, use the tool, use the result.

What you will find

There are a group of tools organised into five hubs:

  • Security: X-Ray checks for QR codes, links, emails, texts, websites, email headers and photos, plus a leaked password check, a password generator and more.
  • Developer: JSON formatting, Base64 and binary encoding, UUIDs, a colour contrast checker, lorem ipsum and a URL shortener.
  • Create: GIFs, image conversion and compression, colour picking and palettes, QR codes, barcodes, and text tools such as word counting and case conversion.
  • Calculators: a keypad calculator, percentages, VAT, compound interest, mortgage estimates, age and BMI, plus unit and currency converters, crypto prices and random numbers.
  • Games: mini games and fidgets to pass the time in your browser.

Each tool page includes a working widget plus clear notes on how to use it. Pick a hub from the menu or jump straight to a tool from the homepage grid.

Privacy and how the tools work

Catpool tools are designed to run in your browser. For the tools that handle your own content, text, JSON, images and similar. Processing stays on your device and is not uploaded to Catpool for storage. That keeps drafts, screenshots and private figures where they belong. For the full picture of cookies, advertising and data practices, read the Privacy Policy.

Who it is for

Students checking a percentage, freelancers generating a QR code, developers tidying a JSON sample, anyone converting an image before an upload: Catpool aims at practical, short visits rather than long tutorials. Copy is written in British English (colour, organise, minimise) and the interface stays dark and straightforward.

Get in touch

If a tool misbehaves, or you have an idea for something that would earn its place in one of our hubs, we would be grateful if you could send us a message via the Contact page at support@catpool.co.uk. Honest feedback beats guesswork.

Catpool is mostly free to use, with any tools requiring a subscription explicitly stated on the respective page. Browse the hubs, try a tool, and use what you need. That is the simplicity of Catpool.

Some pages on Catpool recommend products or services using affiliate links. If you click one and then buy something or sign up, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra and does not change the price you pay.

  • Amazon: Catpool is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme (Amazon UK). As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
  • Other programmes: we also use affiliate networks such as Awin, for example for website builders like Weblium.

Affiliate links are marked with an “Affiliate link” label on the box they appear in. Every Catpool tool is free to use, commissions never change what a tool tells you, and we only recommend things we think are genuinely useful for the job on that page. If you have a question about this, email support@catpool.co.uk.
